Packaging and accessories
The EarFun Tune Pro headphones come in the spirit of the motto “simplicity is beauty,” which translates to very plain but functional packaging. Don’t expect any premium opening or luxury materials—your headphones are safely nestled in a plastic insert inside a simple box.
In the box, you’ll find wireless headphones EarFun Tune Pro, a USB-C charging cable, a standard 3.5 mm AUX audio cable, and a user manual.
The biggest downside of the packaging is the absence of any case or at least a fabric carry pouch. If you plan to travel with the headphones often, we recommend buying a universal hard case to prevent possible damage in your backpack.
On the other hand, EarFun invested the saved budget into the contents. The included USB-C cable isn’t just for charging—it also enables full-fledged wired listening in Hi-Res quality, which is definitely not standard in this price range.
Headphone design and build
The EarFun Tune Pro are classic over-ear headphones with comfortable ear pads that wrap around your entire ear. The design is minimalist and the combination of black and dark gray looks elegant yet understated.
The construction is mostly plastic, but the build quality is solid and the headphones feel sturdy. The ear pads are soft and provide good isolation from ambient noise even without ANC turned on.
Another plus is the folding mechanism, making it easier to carry the headphones in a backpack or bag.
Comfort while wearing
During testing, we used the headphones mainly for working on a computer, listening to music, and watching videos. Overall comfort is good, although the ear pads could be slightly larger since they cover the whole ear—but in our case they only fit very snugly. People with bigger ears might have an issue.
With shorter to medium listening sessions, the EarFun Tune Pro are still comfortable, but during longer wear you can start to feel a slight pressure on your ears. Still, the weight of about 289 grams remains very reasonable.
Hybrid active noise cancelation
One of the main features of the EarFun Tune Pro headphones is hybrid active noise cancelation (ANC) up to 45 dB. In practice, that means they can significantly reduce background noise in an office, city noise, noise on an airplane, or on a train. It’s not the very best noise cancelation on the market, but in its price category it’s clearly among the better options.
Besides ANC, there’s also an ambient mode that does the opposite and lets outside sounds through more noticeably. Overall, up to 5 different modes are available with varying levels of attenuation/transparency that you can tailor to the situation you’re in.
Sound quality surprised us
The headphones use a combination of 40 mm and 10 mm dynamic drivers. The result is a sound profile with more pronounced bass, clear highs, and fairly well-balanced mids.
The bass is truly strong, but it doesn’t feel overdone. The mids sound natural, and the vocals surprisingly good—even if they could be a bit more pronounced in some places. The headphones also have Hi-Res Audio certification, which is used mainly with a wired connection.
Bluetooth 5.4 and dual connection
The EarFun Tune Pro use the modern wireless standard Bluetooth 5.4, which provides a more stable connection and better energy efficiency, up to a distance of up to 15 meters.
One major advantage is the “Dual Device” connection, which lets the headphones connect to two devices at once—for example, your laptop and smartphone. This feature works really well and ensures automatic media playback switching between the two devices without needing to manually switch in the device settings.
Gaming mode, Theater Mode, and low latency
The headphones also offer a so-called Game Mode (gaming mode), which significantly reduces audio delay. When watching videos or playing games, the audio-video synchronization is much better. The manufacturer notes reduced connection stability with this feature, but during testing we didn’t notice anything like that.
In the app, you’ll also find a special Theater Mode designed to expand the soundstage and deliver immersive spatial audio, putting you right in the middle of the action. However, the equalizer remains turned off in this mode. In our view, it’s more of a marketing move. In the standard mode, with a properly tuned equalizer, you’ll get better results.
Extreme battery life
One of the biggest strengths of the EarFun Tune Pro model is clearly battery life, with truly unbelievable numbers. With a full charge, the headphones can reach up to 120 hours of playback without ANC or even up to 80 hours with active ANC.
Even fast charging is supported via the included USB-C—where 10 minutes of charging provides approximately 15 hours of listening. These are well above-average results that you’ll hardly find in this price range.
EarFun Audio app
The headphones work together with the mobile app EarFun Audio, available for both Android and iOS. Right away, we were impressed by the software’s build quality—it’s genuinely excellent, and companies like Sony or Sennheiser could learn from it.
It offers all the important features without unnecessary clutter, and it doesn’t bother you with pointless setup steps or login screens. The app also provides up to 30 EQ presets, a 10-band equalizer, ANC mode settings, device management, firmware updates, and other extra features.
Up to 5 microphones with an AI algorithm
The headphones use a total of up to 5 microphones with an AI algorithm, which helps suppress background sounds during phone calls. The voice is clear and well understandable even in noisier environments.
During testing, the other side could hear us very clearly and cleanly, so for normal calls and video calls it’s more than enough.
Final verdict
EarFun Tune Pro are headphones that define the term “value for money” in their price category. Their biggest weapon is undoubtedly the extreme battery life, which, with ANC turned off, reaches up to 120 hours — a figure that even much more expensive models often fail to match.
If you’re looking for universal wireless headphones for traveling, work, or everyday music listening, EarFun Tune Pro are definitely worth considering.
