Segway-Ninebot, a partner of Xiaomi, brings a new electric scooter to the market under the label Ninebot F25. It impresses above all with a powerful 300 W motor or a practical folding frame. Other advantages of this e-scooter include 10″ inch highly elastic tyres that are much more durable and less prone to punctures.
Highly durable tyres
Electric scooters are popular with many people thanks to easy maintenance and low operating costs. After riding a larger number of kilometres, the tyres of an e-scooter can be significantly worn out, or they may be easier to puncture. Some users solve this by switching to tubeless tyres, which however reduces riding comfort.
That’s why the manufacturer decided to equip the Ninebot F25 model with reinforced 10-inch highly elastic tyres, which are far more durable than the tyres on previous scooter models. The tyre surface also features anti-slip treatment, helping to improve grip on wet roads.
Power and range
A 300 W electric motor takes care of powering the entire scooter. The manufacturer used a lithium battery, for which it claims that after 5 years of active use it will still retain 70 % of its capacity. The range is up to 20 km. On the handlebar there is a LED display showing your current speed, battery status, and the available riding modes.
There are up to 3 riding modes (Eco mode, Standard mode, and Sport mode). In Eco mode, the scooter reaches a speed of 15 km/h, and in Standard and Sport mode it’s up to 25 km/h.
Disc brake and BMS system
You’ll also appreciate the BMS system, which monitors the battery condition and provides multiple levels of battery protection. Safety is handled by a disc brake with a 140 mm diameter, located on the rear wheel. There’s also a quality LED light with a beam distance of up to 13.5 metres. The scooter has a reinforced frame, with a load capacity of 100 kg. The scooter itself weighs 14.7 kg.
Super price
There’s also a mobile app available that shows battery status, range, and other information. It’s currently sold only in China for 1599 yuan, which is about €206 after conversion. Considering the scooter’s specs, this is a very good price. Availability and price in the EU are not known yet.
