There have been rumors for a while about the launch of Lenovo’s first gaming smartphone in the Legion. lineup. The Legion model series offers extreme performance in the PC segment for a fairly low price.
So the Legion division should now also make its way into people’s awareness through the mobile division. Right now, we have some key specs that the new machine should have.
144 Hz and brutal power
The front of the upcoming Lenovo Legion smartphone should belong to a Full HD+ OLED display, for now with an unknown size. What we do know is that the refresh rate will be over 90 Hz, most likely 144 Hz.
Under the hood, the smartphone will have a flagship Snpadragon 865 5G or an improved version, the 865+. For now, the manufacturer Qualcomm has not shared any information about the new processor, but there is still plenty of time until the launch.
The processor will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM, most likely with a capacity of 12 GB. The storage size of the UFS 3.1 type is not known yet. The front 20 MPx selfie camera will be placed in a side pop-up mechanism.
The back of the Lenovo Legion smartphone will be home to a pair of camera sensors. The main sensor will have a resolution of 64 MPx, and it will be joined by a 16 MPx sensor. Unfortunately, we don’t have any further details about the camera setup.
An interesting area of the smartphone is the battery and its charging. The built-in battery should have a capacity of 5 050 mAh, and the charging itself should support up to 95 W. It looks like OPPO’s 65 W lead will be over soon.
Charging will take place via a USB Type-C connector; a 45 W adapter should be included in the box. The company recently published an eye-catching poster that points to a 3D dual-layer special cooling system that should rid the smartphone of any high overheating.
In terms of the system, the latest operating system Android 10 will run on the smartphone, enhanced with Lenovo’s custom overlay. From the available specs, that’s everything for now.
We expect that the new smartphone could be unveiled as early as in July this year, but we don’t have official information about it. We’ll keep monitoring the whole situation diligently, so if the new smartphone has caught your interest, make sure to keep following our website regularly.
