Vivo has only just unveiled the X90 series—but only for the Chinese market. The whole series includes three models, and this is the successor to the X80 lineup. It packs powerful processors and great cameras under ZEISS guidance. Overall, the series consists of three models: Vivo X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro Plus. In terms of design, they’re very similar, with differences only in the details. Visually, they take after last year’s X80 series.
512 GB version in stock in the EU
Trading Shenzen traditionally brings exclusive Chinese smartphones to our market as well. It’s our TOP partner when it comes to smartphone selection, and Global Priority shipping is also available—so you won’t pay any additional fees!
From now on, the 12 + 512 GB version is also available in European stock, which means very fast delivery in up to 7 days. And, of course, there are zero fees for VAT and customs duty.
It’s a Chinese version of the smartphone, but it has support for all our networks, just like the X80 Pro predecessor that we tested and that we currently use in the editorial office. The system is available in English (Czech and Slovak are missing), it supports all Google services, you can install Google Play, and you can pay with Google Pay.
Of course, it supports OTA system updates. The smartphone has standard manufacturer support. The charger will come with a Chinese plug — you’ll need a reducer — and it also supports Widevine Level 1 for streaming in full quality.

A standout camera module, leather-like material
Again, there’s a fairly large and properly protruding camera setup at the back—this time separated from the rest of the rear by a silver strip with the text Xtreme Imagination. The models should be available in black, blue, and red.
At the front, there is the same 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro+ model stands out with 2K resolution, while the Pro has Full HD. The Pro+ also offers a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits and HDR10+ support.
In this case, the fingerprint reader is under the display, as befits flagship models. There’s also a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the cutout. And don’t forget about IP68 certification.
Top-tier performance and ZEISS cameras
As for the processors, those are different. The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro models feature a MediaTek chipset—specifically Dimensity 9200. The Vivo X90 Pro+ model, on the other hand, currently uses the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The X90 Pro+ model has a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with 50MP resolution. It’s paired with a 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 64-megapixel periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel portrait sensor.
The X90 Pro model features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 sensor with optical stabilization, a wide-angle Sony IMX663 sensor with 50MP resolution, and—last but not least—a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait lens.
Both devices include up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. A liquid VC cooling system is available for heat dissipation.
The Vivo X90 Pro has a 4,870 mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Pro+ model has a slightly smaller 4,700 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Everything is handled by the Android 13 operating system together with the OriginOS 3 custom interface. In addition, we also got fully wireless earbuds and a new color for the Vivo Pad tablet. Availability of all the products unveiled will be in China starting December 6.
