Ladislav: “I’ve had Welock locks for about 8 years—they work amazingly, even in outdoor rain/frost conditions, even though they’re not meant for that… they’re even sold in Europe rebranded under another brand for an outrageous price… they’re more expensive, but I can definitely confirm it.”
Ladislav adds: “China Planet, way too reliably. They have the slogan ‘Bank grade fingerprint’, meaning very precise… pros… high accuracy, cons: for a child from 13–14 y, you simply can’t add access because their fingerprints aren’t developed enough for the system to add them (it rejects them as not sufficiently distinct). (Solution is an RF tag or an app for the child.) Second—if you have wet fingers, it won’t recognize you (the classic—when it’s raining, you hold a wet umbrella, and with sweat you wipe your hands on the gate until they’re perfectly dry). I once had an issue when I’d been driving for longer with a steering wheel wrapped in leather… I guess I rubbed the fingerprints a little onto the leather steering wheel, and that was enough for it to reject me… But as I said, I opened it with the app and within 10 minutes everything was OK…”}
