We’ve just come across more top-class Chinese smartphones. The ZTE Axon 30 Pro and Ultra go after TOP specs. On the outside they look very similar, but they differ in some key features. What do the new flagship models from the popular Chinese manufacturer bring?
High-quality displays
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra specs are among the very best you can find on the smartphone market right now. First of all, it has a beautiful curved 6.67″ AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 300 Hz touch sampling rate. It offers FullHD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and a screen-to-body ratio of 95%. In the middle at the top, there’s a hole for the selfie camera.
The cheaper model has a very similar display, but it’s not curved; its screen-to-body ratio is 93%, so it has slightly thicker bezels around the edges. The touch response is even up to 360 Hz. Both displays come with various eye-protection features, a blue light filter, and reading mode.
Both models are equipped with the currently most powerful processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The RAM value ranges from 6 to 16 GB depending on the version; these are fast LPDDR5 modules. The storage is UFS 3.1 type; the highlight is up to 1 TB of space in the case of the top Ultra model version.
The camera setup will literally take your breath away
Interesting are also the cameras. The more expensive model offers a main lens with a resolution of 64 Mpix and an aperture of f/1.6 with optical image stabilization. The ultra-wide-angle sensor also has a resolution of 64 Mpix and a field of view of 120 degrees. The third sensor is also 64-megapixel; the manufacturer named it “superhuman camera”. The fourth is a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, and a resolution of 8 Mpix.
For the Pro model, the main sensor offers Sony IMX682 with a resolution of 64 Mpix, a 64 Mpix ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120 degree field of view, a 5 Mpix macro lens, and a 2 Mpix depth sensor.
As for the battery, the Ultra has a 4600 mAh battery and supports wired charging with 66 W power. The Pro model’s battery capacity is 4200 mAh, with a maximum charging power of 55 W. Both models naturally run on the new Android 11 operating system along with ZTE’s MyOS skin.
