On the same principle, Trading Shenzen also sells, for example, the Vivo iQOO 9 Pro, which we tested—and even with the Chinese system we managed to fully make use of it, solve the notification issue, and it’s currently working as our “daily driver”. Read our review.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 a OLED s kamerou pod displejom
The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra smartphone measures 163.2 x 73.5 x 8.4 mm and has a total weight of 204 grams. One of the main attractions of this device is its premium design. The front camera is located under the display, so the design is not disturbed by any notch or hole-punch. The screen also has extremely curved edges at an angle of up to 71°.

The display has a 6.81″ diagonal, an AMOLED technology, and a fine resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels. This panel offers a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit colors, a built-in fingerprint sensor, and a pixel density of 400 ppi (including the area with the “selfie” camera under the display).
Performance is handled here by the flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. You also won’t be missing 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB of fast UFS 3.1 storage (depending on the configuration).
A trio of 64 MPx cameras and up to 8K video
Let’s take a look at the camera setup. It’s already impressive at first glance, thanks to the “selfie” under-display camera, which has large pixels (2.24 μm) and a resolution of up to 16 MPx. This is a third-generation technology featuring independent pixel control, a transparent circuit, and a special UDC Pro display chip. Photos taken with the hidden front camera will be yours without compromise.

On the back you’ll find a 64 MPx primary camera (Sony IMX787) with optical image stabilization and a specific all-direction automatic focus. There’s also a 64 MPx ultra-wide sensor and a 64 MPx telephoto lens—so a periscope with optical stabilization. You’ll also get a depth ToF sensor, three microphones for high-quality sound recognition, and all three cameras support up to 8K video.
The flagship model comes with the Android 12 operating system along with MiFavor graphics interface. The equipment also includes stereo speakers with DTS Ultra support, a linear motor (X-axis), DualSIM slots, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type‑C port.

Inside there’s also a 5000 mAh battery with support for ultra-fast wired charging up to 80 W. The device, however, lacks wireless charging. On the other hand, you won’t have to worry about cooling quality—Vapor Chamber cooling (36 356 mm²) is part of the design.
