The Chinese company Realme is preparing its new Realme GT smartphone with a 160 Hz display. We already know the date of the official launch of this surprising smartphone.
Realme GT: Refresh rate up to 160 Hz
Realme has officially confirmed that it will launch a new smartphone for the Chinese market, the Realme GT, on March 4, 2021. According to the post below, the main highlights include a high refresh-rate display, a powerful processor, and faster charging. Besides that, we also know other additional, unofficial leaks.
From a source by Abhishek Yadav, citing information received from Chinese sources, we know that the new Realme GT in its 5G version will feature an OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 160 Hz. Competitive brands such as Asus, Lenovo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE have already introduced several models with 144 Hz displays, but Realme is going even further.
With the launch of this upcoming smartphone, Realme could become the first manufacturer to bring a 160 Hz display smartphone to market. A leak revealed that the lineup will include up to 125W fast wired charging with the well-known Ultra Dart branding.
160 Hz, 5000 mAh a Snapdragon 888
The same leak was also shared by a source called Ice Universe last month. Back then, the leak mentioned a 6.81″ OLED display with a 160 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. A 64 MP main camera shouldn’t be missing either, complemented by a pair of 13 MP sensors and a 5000 mAh battery with 125W charging support.
Additional specs mentioned in the leak include a flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, as well as 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB of storage, and Realme UI 2.0 software built on Android 11. We also expect a glass-and-leather design. The phone should be introduced on the Chinese market, but thanks to Realme Europe’s post it should arrive on European markets later as well.
