The vivo manufacturer is among the biggest in the world. It sells its smartphones mainly on the domestic Chinese market, but the brand has officially arrived in Slovakia as well. And the arrival was really big—it brought along a packed flagship at once: – vivo X80 Pro. This model has been on the market for some time already, and information about its successor is starting to appear – vivo x90 Pro+. What will it bring?
Maximum possible performance
What would a flagship be without a proper processor? In this case, the manufacturer will again make no compromises and will equip its best smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Even though this chipset hasn’t been officially announced yet, we already know it will once again be the most powerful chipset in Android smartphones.
So you don’t really need to worry about performance. Some sources claim that there should also be a variant with a MediaTek chipset, specifically from the Dimensity 9200 flagship series.
vivo X90 Pro+ will get a top-tier 120 Hz display
The display should once again rank among the absolute top tier. It will be an AMOLED panel with a 6.78-inch diagonal, supplied by Samsung. According to the latest information, it should offer 2K resolution, which is a step back compared to the predecessor. However, we think the source is mistaken, and the new model’s screen will again come with QHD resolution.
If you happen not to know, the 2K label means that the longer side of the display has roughly 2000 pixels. So 2K resolution also includes standard FullHD, FullHD+ and similar.
The refresh rate will be 120 Hz, and it shouldn’t be missing LTPO technology either — in other words, automatic refresh-rate adjustment depending on what you’re doing with the phone right now. This way, you can save a pretty solid amount of battery. It also shouldn’t be missing the popular ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which should offer a very generous sensing area. Similar to what you get in vivo X80 Pro or in IQOO flagship devices.
vivo X90 Pro+ again with a top-tier camera
In recent times, vivo has really been focusing on camera quality. That’s why it won’t come as a surprise that the vivo X90 Pro+ will have the highest ambitions. The setup should consist of four cameras. The main one should offer 50 megapixels, and even more interestingly, the sensor size is as large as 1″.
You’ll get a ultra-wide-angle lens with a 48-megapixel resolution and, once again, a 50-megapixel portrait lens with dual optical zoom won’t be missing. The lineup is rounded out by a periscope sensor with 3.5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom. As for the selfie camera, we don’t have any information about it yet.
Other equipment shouldn’t be missing either: fast LPDDR5X RAM with 12 GB capacity and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device will come with the preinstalled Android 13 operating system and the OriginOS 3.0 skin. If it also launches on the Slovak market, it will get the European version of the skin called Funtouch.
