This method is especially useful when you don’t know the exact product name, or when you’ve seen it somewhere else and want to find it cheaper than an AliExpress Choice product or with faster shipping.
On a computer (via browser):
- Open AliExpress in your browser:
Start by going to the AliExpress homepage in your web browser. Make sure you’re logged into your account so you can fully use all the features. - Find the camera icon:
At the top of the page, right next to the search box, you’ll see a small camera icon. Click on it. This icon will take you to the image search interface.
- Upload a product image:
After clicking the camera icon, you’ll be prompted to upload an image. You can choose an image saved on your computer, or you can take a screenshot of the product you want to find. A great trick is also to paste the copied image. We used the image of the Redragon mechanical keyboard from our article.
- Browse the results:
After you upload the image, AliExpress will automatically search for all products that match the uploaded image. You’ll see different options from different sellers, so you can quickly find out who offers the product at the best price.
How to find the lowest price
When AliExpress shows you all the relevant products based on your photo, you can easily find the lowest price. The process is simple:
- Sort by price:
At the top of the page, above the search results, you’ll see different sorting options. Click on “Sort by” and choose “Price”. AliExpress will then display products from the lowest price to the highest, making it easy to spot the cheapest offer.
- Watch out for quality and ratings:
Even though price matters, don’t forget to check the sellers’ ratings and product reviews too. On our website ChinaPlanet and XiaomiPlanet you’ll always find only verified and reliable sellers. Sometimes it’s better to pay a few cents more for a verified seller with good reviews than to risk buying low-quality goods from an unknown seller.
Searching via the mobile app is even easier
Image search on mobile is even easier and offers another interesting option. Besides uploading a picture from your gallery, you can search using real photos too. Just open the AliExpress app, tap the camera icon, and point the camera at the product you want to find. This feature is especially handy when, for example, you spot a product with a friend or you have something you want to find for less on AliExpress.
In the video, you can see how I search for a water tray for flowers that caught my eye during a visit to my family. AliExpress immediately shows me the products that match based on the photo. To make sure I get the best price, I set the sort order in the top-right corner to ascending—so from the lowest price to the highest.
