As has become a tradition every year at the Google I/O conference, the new generation of the Android operating system is presented—this year is no exception. Android 11 is slowly knocking on the door.

Unlike previous years, this year’s presentation will most likely happen only via a live stream. The interesting part is that even though we still have plenty of time before the presentation, some devices have already received the initial version.
The presentation is being postponed
The team responsible for developing the operating system announced in the afternoon hours that the start of beta testing is being delayed due to the ongoing protests in the United States. Allegedly, “it’s not the time to celebrate.“
Some Android 11 users have received
What’s interesting is that, despite the reports about the rollout of the beta version being supported, some users early on Monday reported that they received the Android 11 beta 1 update with the RPB1.200504.018 label.
According to information from XDA Developers team member Mishaala Rahmana, at least two Pixel 4 XL devices received this update. It’s expected that other models may have obtained the Android 11 beta as well, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
A similar case happened a few years ago with a smartphone update for the Nexus 6P, when this model received the Android 7 Nougat even before its official public presentation.
The latest Android 11 beta will most likely bring the long-awaited API SDK and NDK interfaces. In addition, the new Android will allow developer settings to be turned on/off directly from the notification bar.
We can also expect easier customization of “Power menu”, new navigation dock recommendations for gestures, new app icons, and much more.
