Astrolux MF05 is pure madness
This LED flashlight has specs that very few products can match. Its biggest strength is the LED light labeled SBT90.2, which can produce all that power. The throw reaches a value of up to 3162 meters, which is in the strongest possible mode.
Brightness is in the unit candela—an insane 2 500 000! In lumens, the manufacturer lists 7500, but in this case it’s more reasonable to focus on the cd unit, which gives the real parameters.
Up to 6 lighting modes are available: Moon (2.1 lm / 800 h), Low (92 lm / 24 h), Mid 1 (641 lm / 15 h), Mid 2 (1650 lm / 4.5 h), High (3600 lm / 45 min) and Turbo (7500 lm / 70 s). The time value in brackets indicates the runtime in that mode.
Huge dimensions and fan cooling
The dimensions of this Astrolux MF05 LED flashlight are 426 x 160 mm. On the narrower side, the size is 64 mm, which is basically the diameter of both the body and the handle. A mount for the top part can also be installed together with the fan.
The front side is surrounded not only by solid build quality, but also by a static heatsink assisted by the aforementioned fan feeding cold air. The button to turn on the LED flashlight is then on the top of the device itself, also on top of the holder.
However, the battery for the fan is missing from the package, which is why it’s necessary to buy it. This is a 21700 Li-ion battery type. For the actual Astrolux MF05 battery as well, you also need to purchase a battery—it’s 8 x 18650 Li-ion.
The package includes complete mounting equipment for the fan holder, a large carrying bag, and protective cases for the smaller components.
