Over the past few years, along with smartphone hardware and software, various battery charging technologies have also been evolving. Over time, the charging speeds of mobile phones have shifted from a few hours to literally just a few minutes. We’ll probably get an idea of this speed from several Chinese manufacturers soon.
Chinese manufacturers are preparing 120 W charging miracle
This imaginary competition for the fastest charging has involved the entire five-some of the biggest and most notable Chinese smartphone makers. Recently, a certain Chinese leakster revealed that TOP 5 companies from China have already tested a 100 W charging form.
The voltage ranges from 10 to 20 volts, while the electric current can reach a value of 12 amperes. This gives us the maximum possible power of 120 watts.

Besides what you can see in the picture, there are currently no other more detailed pieces of information about the planned ultra-fast battery charging technologies in smartphones.
We don’t know, either, based on what the best five companies from China that deal with mobile phones are actually evaluated. We think it’s a ranking of companies, based on their total monetary value.
Powerful chargers are already fairly well known to us
Chinese manufacturers, such as Xiaomi or Vivo, have been testing various high-power charging techniques for a long time. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the first mentioned company will soon officially unveil a 100 W charging technology in a certain premium phone.
Moreover, their 120 W charger, labeled MDY-12-ED, has already officially passed 3C certification. Last month, too, OPPO’s powerful CEO, Shen Yiren, announced that they will soon show the world their own 100 W technology. Last year, Vivo joined them as well, with its 120 W Super Fast Charging.

Do you think some Chinese smartphone makers will pleasantly surprise us with their upcoming fast chargers? Is fast charging even important, and won’t it harm battery lifespan with such high power?
These are questions that will remain unanswered at least until the moment the said charging technologies are officially announced. Maybe, after all, it will be practice that shows whether it’s truly an effective way.
