Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo: An upgraded model with a flexible magnetic build plate
The 3D printer Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo is a basic model for so-called “hobby” creators. However, it comes with solid technical specifications, complemented by a quality build in a matte black color design. The printer has fairly compact dimensions of 43.8 x 42.4 x 47.2 cm. Its weight is then 7.8 kilograms, so carrying it around won’t be a problem either, if needed.
As for the printing itself, this model supports FDM printing technology with a power of 350 W and prints with maximum dimensions of 220 x 220 x 250 mm. The maximum print speed is 120 mm/s, and the deviation is then +/- 0,1 mm. The nozzle diameter is 0.4 mm; supported filament is 1.75. The nozzle temperature is 260 °C and the main plate temperature is 100 °C.
Multiple design and functional upgrades for the 3D printer
When we look at the upgrades compared to the previous generation, the main change is the CR-Touch automatic bed leveling sensor. It also includes a flexible magnetic build plate (so-called PC Spring Steel Magnetic Build Plate), so you can remove prints much more easily. The package also includes sturdier yellow springs for better maintaining of the correct plate height.
Operating this 3D printer is also very straightforward. You get a 4,3″ color touchscreen that makes it easier to start different print modes. You’ll also appreciate the ability to pause and resume printing, as well as support for microSD memory cards, plus support for the software Creality Slicer, Cura and Simplify3D.
There’s also a metal Bowden extruder. It’s also more robust (note from the editor: previous plastic extruders had a tendency to break). Another big advantage, especially for beginners, is the minimal need to assemble the construction. The printer arrives in almost fully assembled condition. Power is handled through a standard wall socket with a local plug to the network (EU Plug, 220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz).
