The Chinese company iQOO is preparing its new, ultra-powerful flagship phone, the iQOO 10 Pro. In its lineup, it will offer a 100% charge in just a few minutes thanks to support for up to 200 W wired charging and 65 W wireless charging.
iQOO 10 Pro: A flagship phone with charging in just 10 – 12 minutes
The parent company Vivo has focused in recent years on increasing charging speeds for its smartphones. And just a few months ago, its subsidiary iQOO launched the iQOO 9 smartphone with 120 W fast charging, reaching a full charge in just 18 minutes.
However, it seems that 120 W isn’t enough for the Chinese manufacturer. And right now, it’s already preparing its upcoming generation iQOO 10 Pro with support for ultra-fast 200 W wired charging or 65 W wireless charging.
New information is coming from a reliable source, Digital Chat Station. Through the Chinese social network Weibo, it revealed several interesting details about the fast charging being prepared.
200 W wired charging should become a reality
According to this source, the model iQOO 10 Pro will achieve up to 200 W charging and will be supplied with an adapter offering 20 V / 10 A. The code name of this charger is V200100L0B0-CN. We also learned that 65 W fast wireless charging will be available. For such a speed, though, you’ll also need a powerful wireless charger.
We still don’t know the battery capacity of this device. However, we expect it to be at least 4000 mAh, with a 100% charge in about 10 – 12 minutes. We don’t know what battery life this flagship smartphone will offer, but charging extremely fast should also make occasional top-ups during the day very likely. Expect a fairly large adapter in the box, similar to 120 W charging.
Fast charging also brings certain risks. Even though we can’t assess the impact on battery health, manufacturers’ promises about low degradation rates or protection against overheating are usually a decent patch before buying such a device.
