Honor, as a subsidiary brand of the Chinese company Huawei, is preparing its new 5G smartphone. Specifically, this should be the model labeled Honor X10 Max 5G, whose specs and performance test results were revealed by the database of the popular service Geekbench. These information leaks happened even before the smartphone’s official launch.

The latest information revealed that the upcoming Honor X10 Max 5G smartphone should be officially unveiled as early as July 2, 2020. We also know the model code for this device: specifically, it is KKG-AN00. And this label appeared in the database of China’s telecom regulator TENAA, along with technical specifications and images.
To make sure there weren’t any more new revelations, the phone also showed up in the Geekbench database, which tests the performance of individual smartphones. This discovery only adds to confirming the key details about the device. In the Single-Core test, the smartphone scored at the level of 539 points, and in Multi-Core it scored then 2186 points.
These are the technical specifications
According to data from Geekbench, Honor’s new device should be powered by an octa-core processor from MediaTek. It should have a base clock speed of 2.00 GHz. Specifically, it should be model number MT6873, which belongs to the Dimension 800 5G series.
A processor with support for the latest 5G technology should be complemented by up to 8 GB of RAM. On the software side, the latest operating system version of Android 10 should not be missing.
Previous information leaks revealed that the Honor X10 Max 5G model should offer a truly huge, up to 7.09″ display with IPS LCD technology and a teardrop-shaped notch. The RGBW technology for better brightness in sunlight won’t be missing either, along with a fingerprint sensor placed on the side.
The dimensions of this device should come in at 176.46 x 84.91 x 8.3 mm. The weight of this hefty smartphone should reach up to 227 grams. The package should also include a 48 MPx main camera, complemented by a pair of 2 MPx sensors. The front camera will offer a resolution of 8 MPx.
On the domestic Chinese market, the arrival of configurations 6 / 8 GB RAM and 64 / 128 GB storage is estimated. A microSD memory card slot will be available to expand it. The battery capacity is expected to be around 4900 mAh; fast 22,5 W cable charging won’t be missing. We still don’t know the device’s retail price.
