The Chinese manufacturer Meizu is once again preparing a restart of its flagship device lineup, this time under the name Meizu 20. The new model will offer an interesting design for the rear camera module, a boxy body, as well as a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Meizu 20: New flagship series coming soon

The new flagship lineup will consist of at least two models named Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro. Leaks about these devices have been appearing online for some time now, but this time there’s also official confirmation. The brand has also confirmed that its flagship smartphones will be equipped with the latest processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Posters and teasers for these devices have appeared on Meizu’s official profile on the Chinese social network Weibo. Fans may also be interested in the new processor, as well as LPDDR5X RAM and fast next-generation storage labeled UFS 4.0.

Since the new smartphones will use UFS storage in the 4.0 category, we can expect them to offer base memory of 256. The reason is Samsung, the manufacturer of UFS 4.0 storage, which hasn’t developed a 128 GB module.

UFS 4.0 storage and a spring launch

A popular tipster recently also shared the design of the premium version Meizu 20 Pro. It will feature four vertically arranged rings on the back, three of which will include a camera sensor, while the fourth will be for an LED flash.

The device will have volume and power buttons on the right side. And the overall Meizu 20 Pro design matches the phone case from Pandaer, which was also the subject of previous leaks. The difference is the camera module, which previously had a square shape.

In any case, we’ll have to wait a few more days for the detailed specifications. The manufacturer plans an official launch in spring 2023. Both devices have already received several certifications in China, which confirms this. One of them revealed that the lineup will also include a 4600 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 80 W.
