We’ve already written about the Nubia RedMagic 5G model on our website. It’s a gaming smartphone so powerful that the manufacturer decided to install a small fan to cool the internal components.

Even though it’s “just” a small airflow meant to draw attention, of course it serves its purpose and this little feature is extremely interesting to many.

Nubia RedMagic 5G was taken apart by a YouTuber

The well-known YouTuber JerryRigEverything didn’t leave the Nubia RedMagic 5G smartphone lying around and instead checked out what’s under the hood. After pressing a dedicated button that starts the gaming mode, this fan will begin to spin.

Maybe you’d say that because of its small size, you can only hear it very quietly. Well, the opposite is true, and when this little powerhouse works at full speed, according to a YouTuber, its sound can "outshout" even the very speakers of a smartphone.

After heating up the back side to soften the adhesive that holds the back glass together with the phone’s frame, you’ll get a look at the massive battery and the hidden components. We should also mention that the Nubia RedMagic 5G currently has one of the most powerful mobile processors, the Snapdragon 865.

It’s also impressing with its huge, 6.65-inch AMOLED display, with currently the fastest refresh rate on a phone — 144 Hz. The screen also hides a security feature in the form of a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone has a unique feature: a cooling fan

But let’s get back to the teardown. The fan is visible right after opening the back of the device. In the video you’ll find out how this fan pumps cool air inside and, from the other side, expels warm air.

You can also notice the LED diodes that are glued to the back glass. They are used to light up the manufacturer’s logo, which by the way can also work as a notification LED. We really recommend watching the video.

Overall, the videos posted on the JerryRigEverything channel are very interesting and keep not just one geek entertained. Who wouldn’t want to peek into the guts of a smartphone without having to take apart their own.
