OPPO Watch are smartwatches whose resemblance to the watch of an American competitor is more than obvious. But that’s not a bad thing—in fact, it’s a good one. Thanks to this inspiration, we get a lot of useful features and tweaks.
OPPO in collaboration with Orange
Telecommunications operator Orange is among the leading operators, especially when it comes to innovations and new products. To fully unlock the potential of its services, it is partnering with OPPO.
The goal of this new partnership is to bring quality OPPO devices to our shores and raise awareness of this brand. In addition to the smartphones OPPO Reno 4Z 5G and Reno 4 Pro 5G, Orange will also offer the watch OPPO Watch.
We don’t yet know more details about the arrival date and the exact availability in individual countries. However, since Orange is one of the biggest operators, we expect Oppo Watch to be available in Slovakia as well—along with some Oppo smartphones.
Packed with tech features
Smartwatches from OPPO are full of the latest technologies. One of the most innovative is the integration of the eSIM feature, which means you don’t need to own a physical plastic SIM card directly. Orange of course supports eSIM too.
Using eSIM comes with countless advantages. You can break, lose, or damage a physical SIM card, activation and setup of a plastic SIM is more complicated, and you’re limited to just one specific device. None of that applies to an electronic SIM. Also, the manufacturer saves space in the device.
OPPO Watch come with a large 1.91″ 3D curved AMOLED panel with a pixel density of 326 and a 100% DCP-P3 color gamut. Using a square display will help when reading information, because much more can fit on the screen compared to a round display.
In terms of performance, the watch is powered by a powerful processor Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500, complemented by the chipset Apollo 3 along with 8 GB of internal storage. On the watch, Google’s system WearOS runs with its own ColorOS overlay.
Other specs include GPS support, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC for contactless payments, sleep and heart-rate monitoring, a personal fitness trainer, and much more. The battery capacity is 300 / 430 mAh, depending on the selected variant.
We’ll of course keep an eye on the further development of this partnership and bring you the latest news. We’re looking forward to the chance for another Chinese manufacturer to succeed in even more markets. For convenient delivery of updates, don’t forget to follow our Facebook page.
