The Realme company has officially unveiled a pair of budget-friendly smartphones: Realme 7 and 7i. They offer a 90 Hz display, a powerful Snapdragon processor or MediaTek, and a very low, tempting price.
Realme 7i: With a Snapdragon processor
The first new product is a smartphone labeled Realme 7i. This phone offers dimensions of 164.1 x 75.5 x 8.5 – 8.9 mm and weighs 188 grams. An IPS LCD display with a 6.5″ diagonal is included, along with a cutout for the front camera in the top-left corner of the screen.
The display offers HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels), an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The back is made of polycarbonate, while the front is covered by a protective glass (specs not clearly stated) from Gorilla Glass.
The specs also include a Snapdragon 662 processor built using an 11 nm process, paired with 8 GB of RAM of LPDDR4x type and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage, with the option to expand via a microSD memory card. The fingerprint sensor is standard, capacitive, and located on the back of the smartphone.
The front camera, the SONY IMX471, features 16 MPx (f/2.1) here, with support for HDR and panorama. Portrait mode and beautification mode are included, too—plus video recording in 1080p (30 fps) resolution.
On the back, you’ll find four cameras. The main one has 64 MPx (f/1.8). There’s also an ultra-wide 8 MPx (f/2.2) sensor with a viewing angle of up to 119 degrees. The remaining cameras include a 2 MPx macro and a 2 MPx depth sensor. You’ll also get HDR support and the ability to record video in 1080p (30 fps) resolution.
On the software side, you get Android 10 with Realme UI 1.0. You’ll also like the battery with up to 5000 mAh capacity and fast 18 W wired charging. It also supports DualSIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
