For shipping, you’ll pay literally just a few pennies. You can also forget about customs fees or VAT (only for EU warehouses). Delivery takes place in about a week.
STmagic SPT31 is a great alternative to buying an external drive
STmagic SPT31 is an external SSD drive that you can very easily mistake for a classic USB stick with a single flash memory. In terms of design, the product is very nicely done and overall gives a premium impression.
That’s thanks to the metal casing, a weight of 40 grams, and a thickness of just 9 millimeters. You can choose from 6 memory versions.
There are editions with 128 GB, 360 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of storage available, while the last mentioned one at the time of writing this article wasn’t yet available in a specific warehouse. The speed of the memory itself can be a real treat.
Reading happens at 500 MB/s, and reading also reaches a solid 420 MB/s. You might be wondering how an SSD drive can fit into such tiny dimensions and connect directly via the USB 3.1 interface. It’s actually very simple.
STmagic SPT31 is an M.2 SSD with USB 3.1 interface
Not all SSD drives today come in the classic 2, 5‑inch format. There are also so-called M.2 SSDs, which are much more modern and are primarily used in laptops, or in computers where you need to save space while the user also wants high transfer and read speeds.
On this small SSD drive, which fits just fine even in those tiny trouser pockets, you can store everything you need. You can watch movies on it, or even play games. The USB 3.1 interface makes it easy. If you want to invest in an external, solid-state drive, you should rather try STmagic SPT31.
