- The global version runs under the designation V2559.
- The prototype scored 1710 and 5977 points.
- Instead of Android 16, it has Android 17.
- In China, the phone goes on sale starting June.
The foldable vivo X Fold6 is currently available only for the Chinese market, but that will likely change soon. A prototype with the model number V2559 has appeared in the Geekbench database—this is the code vivo uses for international versions. Entries like this are usually a reliable sign that a launch outside China is a matter of weeks, not months.
What the Geekbench listing revealed about the phone
The tested unit had 12 GB of RAM and scored 1710 points in the single-core and 5977 points in the multi-core test. The chip is listed in the database under the name MediaTek MT6993 with eight cores and a max clock of 4.21 GHz. It’s the same silicon as in the Chinese version, meaning the Dimensity 9500 Super. So performance-wise, the global model won’t differ.

However, the listing revealed one difference. While the Chinese X Fold6 launched in June with Android 16 and the OriginOS 6 Fold skin, the global version prototype runs on Android 17. Web GSMArena suggests that the phone will get the upcoming OriginOS 7 skin right away. Buyers outside China would therefore get a newer software version than someone who bought it in China three months ago.
What we know about the phone itself
The X Fold6 is among the best-equipped foldables that came out this year. Its inner display has a 8.02-inch diagonal, the outer one is 6.51 inches, and both are LTPO AMOLED with 120 Hz. The camera setup is led by a 200-megapixel main sensor with stabilization, complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x zoom.

But what’s most surprising is the battery. A 7,000 mAh capacity—quite unusual for a foldable phone—is paired with 80 W wired charging and 40 W wireless charging. Memory variants range from 256 GB up to one terabyte. We covered the Chinese version in more detail in a separate article about the Chinese model.
When will it reach us
vivo hasn’t announced an exact date or pricing. Still, the Geekbench listing is the final step that, with previous models, happened a few weeks before the official launch, so the announcement could come by the end of the year.
For us, there’s one big “but”. Vivo does supply to the European market, but so far the X Fold series has only been sold here as the Chinese import version. Even if a global version exists, it doesn’t automatically mean you’ll see it in the lineup of carriers or retailers in your area. What makes it even more interesting is that it will come with a global software build. That’s usually the biggest weak spot with Chinese units.
