A foldable AMOLED display that turns into a tablet

When unfolded, the Vivo X Fold6 offers a 8,02-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2504 × 2312 px and a refresh rate of 130 Hz, which can drop to 240 Hz when gaming.

When folded, the phone works like a regular smartphone thanks to the 6,51-inch cover AMOLED display (2528 × 1120 px, 130 Hz / 300 Hz in gaming mode) — so unlike some competing foldables, you don’t have to unfold the phone for every little thing, like replying to a message or checking a notification. The whole system runs on OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16, which is also optimized directly for working with two displays — meaning multi-window split-screen use, working with multiple apps at once, or moving content between the cover and main display with a single gesture.

Camera with ZEISS optics and a detachable telephoto lens

The main camera has a resolution of 200 MP with an f/1.68 aperture, supplemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.05) and a 50 MP telephoto lens (f/2.57, CIPA 4.5) — all three with optics tuned in collaboration with ZEISS and image processing handled by the Vivo V3+ chip. The front camera for selfies and video calls has 32 MP (f/2.4).

But the most interesting feature is the optional detachable telephoto lens, which can be attached to the phone much like a lens on a classic camera. It expands zoom capabilities beyond what the built-in telephoto lens can do — it’s a solution you won’t find on regular phones, and you’ll especially appreciate it for long-distance shots or while traveling, when you don’t want to carry a separate camera with you.

Performance, battery and three color variants

Under the hood runs the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition clocked at up to 4.21 GHz with ARM G1-Ultra graphics — combined with 16 GB RAM (LPDDR5X Ultra) and 512 GB or 1 TB storage (UFS 4.1), this is one of the most powerful chips you can find in a foldable phone today. Despite its slim body, Vivo wasn’t afraid to fit in a 7,000 mAh battery (6,760 mAh according to the stricter Chinese standard) with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging — so you get battery life and charging speed you’d rather expect from a classic phone than a foldable.

You can buy the Vivo X Fold6 in black or white, the phone has a side fingerprint sensor, supports face recognition and NFC, and connects via Bluetooth 5.4. If you plan to use the phone with a Slovak SIM card too, you’ll be glad to know it supports all common 4G and 5G bands used here, including band n1, which Telekom uses. Google services (Play Store, Google Pay) are preinstalled and should work without any issues, as should Netflix or Prime Video streaming in full quality — just keep in mind that some of the software menu and preinstalled apps won’t be in Slovak.
