If you game on your mobile in landscape mode while charging it at the same time, you know that problem: a straight connector sticks out from the side of the phone straight into your palm, the cable bends at a sharp angle, and after a few months it stops charging. Baseus MVP 3 is a gaming USB-C cable with a connector bent by 90°, so the cable runs alongside your phone and doesn’t get in your way. It supports 100 W, has an E-marker chip, and a small light. It ships from a European warehouse, so you don’t have to deal with any new customs duty or fees that make cheap cables from AliExpress more expensive since November.
Charging while gaming without holding the cable in your palm
Baseus MVP 3 is sold by the official Baseus EU store from a European warehouse, so the price is final including VAT and you don’t pay anything extra upon delivery. Shipping is free on orders over 60 €, for a smaller order the shipping cost is added to the price, so it’s worth bundling the cable with another accessory. The package should arrive within 5 to 10 business days and you can return the item within 14 days.

If you also want a backup battery while gaming, the cable is a great match for a powerful power bank. Use the full 100 W with Baseus EnerFill FC41 with 145 W and 25 000 mAh or Baseus 140 W with a 24 000 mAh capacity—together you’ll easily cross the free-shipping threshold.
A bent connector you don’t feel when gaming in landscape
The main advantage of the Baseus MVP 3 cable is its connector bent by 90°. When you hold your phone in landscape mode, the cable doesn’t come out perpendicularly from the side into your palm—instead it runs tightly along the phone, so it stays under your hand like part of the device. The bent section is thick by only around 6.6 mm and has rounded edges, so it won’t press into your fingers while you play.
It helps you just as well outside of gaming, too. When you watch a movie in bed or in a car on a mount, the cable doesn’t kink at a sharp angle, and when you plug it into a charger in an outlet behind furniture, the bent end takes up less space. There’s also a small light ring on the connector that glows while charging and turns off when charging is done—so at a glance you can see whether your phone is actually charging.
100 W for your phone, Switch, and notebook
The cable handles up to 100 W, while the E-marker chip in the connector monitors voltage and current so your battery doesn’t overheat. You can charge any USB-C phone with it, including iPhone 15 and newer, a tablet, Nintendo Switch, and most notebooks that charge via USB-C. When your phone draws the most power during demanding gameplay, the cable provides enough energy so it doesn’t drain.
Baseus states that the cable has low resistance and, at 80 %, switches to a smart charging mode, which should keep the phone cooler during long gaming sessions. However, in practice, how fast and how gently your phone charges is mostly determined by the charger and the phone itself—the cable must not get in their way.
A flat braided cable that won’t tangle
The cable is flat and wrapped in a dense nylon braid, so it won’t get tangled in your backpack like a round rubber cable, and it also withstands being pulled along the floor better. The connectors are reinforced at the spot where the cable bends the most, and according to the manufacturer it survived a test of more than 40 000 bends.
You’re choosing between two lengths. A 1-meter cable is enough if you play at the desk or with a power bank in your pocket; a 2-meter one is great for bed or the couch, where the outlet is farther away.
What you need to know before buying
Data is transferred only at a speed of 480 Mb/s (USB 2.0), which is enough to sync your phone or move photos, but you won’t get video to a monitor or fast transfers from an external SSD with it. Only one connector is bent—it goes into the phone; the other, straight end plugs into the charger. There are no reviews on the store page yet, so when rating it, rely on the manufacturer’s specs.
When comparing it to a cheap bent cable from AliExpress, the new price is what matters most. For goods shipped from a Chinese warehouse, customs duty of 3 €, a handling fee of 2 €, and VAT are added from November—together roughly 6 € for each category of goods, and a cable for two euros ends up at eight in your cart. How the fees are calculated exactly is explained in our article about the new customs duty and handling fee.
