20-degree grinding levels and PID temperature control under 170 €? This is the BlitzHome CM-301CG from the EU warehouse

2. September 2026 4 min read 0 comments

If you’ve ever been thinking about a lever coffee machine, you ran into the same issue: to go with the machine, you also need a proper grinder—and it costs about as much as a cheaper coffee machine. BlitzHome CM-301CG has a conical grinder built directly into the body, plus PID temperature control, which you typically only see on machines costing three times as much.

Grinder built into the coffee machine body

At the heart of it all is the conical grinder with 20 grind coarseness settings. You control it with a turn dial on the side, and you adjust it depending on whether you’re making espresso or a longer coffee. Conical burrs are gentler than common flat blades—they grind more slowly, heat the beans less, and the resulting coffee is more evenly ground.

BlitzHome also solves a problem that bothers most combo machines: ground coffee falls directly into the filter basket and doesn’t build up in the chamber. Less leftover grounds also means less stale coffee that could spoil the taste of your next cup.

PID control and a touch display

The water temperature is monitored by the PID control supported by an NTC sensor. That’s exactly what separates budget lever machines from those that deliver repeatable coffee—without it, the temperature swings and every espresso tastes slightly different. The set temperature is shown right on the display.

The controls are built around a touch display, showing grind time, extraction time, and brewing temperature. The buttons are clear: grind, single espresso, double espresso, hot water, and steam. No need to hold a stopwatch in your hand—the machine remembers the times and repeats them.

Milk steam and plenty of accessories

For milk, there’s a manual steam wand. This is intentional: automatic milk frothers make the foam for you, but never the kind you can whip up yourself. It takes a little practice, but after a few tries you’ll make micro-foam for cappuccinos and latte art. The machine can also dispense plain hot water, so it’s useful for tea or an americano.

In the box, you’ll find a 51 mm portafilter, single and double shot baskets, a tamper, a milk jug, and a drip tray grid—so you have everything you need for your first coffee right after unboxing. The body is made of stainless steel, so the machine doesn’t feel like a plastic toy, and with dimensions of 275 × 268 × 372 mm, it fits under standard kitchen cabinets.

What to watch out for

This isn’t a fully automatic machine. You grind, dose, tamp, and steam the milk yourself—the machine only maintains temperature and pressure. If you’re looking for a machine where you press one button and in a minute you’ve got a cappuccino, this model isn’t for that. But if you enjoy working on your coffee, it’s exactly what you want.

The 20 bar pressure is a marketing number—the actual extraction happens at around nine bar, and the rest is pump headroom. It’s not a scam, but you don’t need to be dazzled by it. On Banggood, the machine currently has three reviews with an average rating of 5.00 out of 5, so it’s a fairly new offer.
