AnTuTu Benchmark also reveals the components used. Performance is handled by a yet-unannounced, absolutely top-tier processor Snapdragon 865+. The same chipset will be found in the gaming smartphone ASUS ROG Phone 3, whose launch is scheduled for July 22.

Snapdragon 865+ consists of one high-performance 3.09 GHz Kryo 585 Prime core, combined with three 2.42 GHz Kryo 585 Gold cores and a quartet of 1.8 GHz Kryo 585 Silver cores. The chip is paired with an excellent graphics accelerator Adreno 650.

It’s so well-known that the “plus” version of the Snapdragon 865 is basically a tuned-up version of the base model that powers the vast majority of flagship phones from the first half of this year.

The upcoming gaming smartphone from Lenovo, in the CPU test, scored 187 401 points, and in the test that verifies GPU performance it reached 246 980 points, which is really impressive.

With extreme memory values

The variant labeled Lenovo L79031, which appeared in the benchmark, comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In the memory speed test, the phone scored 114 314 points.

According to additional information, Android 10 is running on the Lenovo Legion. Supposedly, the upcoming model will also include a user overlay known as Legion UI.

We expect it to bring plenty of gaming features, while keeping many similarities to stock Android, which will definitely please several potential buyers. As for the display, it should have a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a refresh rate up to 144 Hz.

In the UX test, the device scored 100 176 points. The total uploaded score is 648 871 points, which is a bit higher than the competing ASUS ROG Phone 3, which was rated at 646 310 points.

Charging with very high power

Finally, let’s also mention the use of a pair of USB-C ports, with at least one of them serving to charge a battery with a capacity of 4 000 mAh. You’ll also get a sliding mechanism for the front, 20 MPx “selfie” camera, along with a 64 MPx main sensor on the back.

That’s complemented by a 16 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera. A security feature in the form of a fingerprint scanner is located directly under the display, which suggests the screen is most likely of the OLED type.

Passionate gamers can also look forward to stereo speakers for an even better gaming and media-consumption experience. The icing on the cake, however, should be lightning-fast charging with an extreme power of 90 W. So there’s absolutely no need to worry about charging the built-in battery right away.
