A new Chinese rocket in the form of Vivo X60 Pro+ is here and brings awesome specs. The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 888, a 120 Hz display, and great optics.

Great design and a beautiful display

This year’s flagship from Vivo comes with a large 6,56″ display with a resolution of 2376 x 1080 px. A big plus is also the 120 Hz screen refresh rate and up to 240 Hz sampling rate. There’s also HDR10+ technology, which delivers an even better smartphone experience.

In addition to its curved form, the display also features a cut-out in the center area, where the selfie camera sits with a resolution of 32 MPx and an aperture of f/2.45. The display was also calibrated by the manufacturer, which is definitely a nice bonus.

The latest Qualcomm processor takes care of high performance, namely the Snapdragon 888. It’s supported by RAM of 8 GB or 12 GB RAM, depending on the configuration. This is LPDDR5 memory, which—compared to the previous generation—is again faster and more powerful.

The 12 GB RAM configuration of the smartphone even includes a special technology called Memory Fusion Technology. It lets you use an additional 3 GB from the internal storage, which will then be used as extra RAM.

For internal storage, you can choose between 128 GB or 256 GB, and it uses UFS 3.1. It offers very fast and reliable writing, especially for large files. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn’t have a microSD card slot.

As for connectivity, you get dual SIM support, NFC for contactless payments, Bluetooth version 5.2, various audio codecs for even better sound, or an in-display fingerprint reader built right into the display.

The flagship runs on Android 11, topped with the manufacturer’s overlay in the form of Origin OS version 1.0. There’s also fast 55 W charging and a fairly solid battery with a capacity of 4 200 mAh.

Sony’s main sensor has a resolution of 48 MPx with an aperture of f/2.2, offering 4-axis optical stabilization. The secondary camera is, in turn, from Samsung. In this case, it’s a 50 MPx sensor with an aperture of f/1.57 and a 1/1,3″ sensor size.

Vivo X60 Pro+

The remaining pair of sensors includes a 32 MPx portrait lens with an aperture of f/2.08 and an 8 MPx periscope lens with an aperture of f/3.4. It offers up to 60x super zoom. There’s also support for autofocus, video stabilization, and recording in 8K resolution.

Vivo X60 Pro+

The Vivo X60 Pro+ will be available starting 23 January in Vivo’s official online store at a price of 773 USD / 636 EUR for the 8 GB RAM / 128 GB ROM variant. The price of the model with the 12 GB RAM / 256 GB ROM configuration will be 927 USD / 763 EUR.

There are 2 color variants to choose from – black and orange. In both cases, it’s quality leather that covers the entire back of the smartphone.
