Design inspired by Porsche
Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design continues the tradition of the partnership with Porsche Design. The back is made of nano-ceramic with a declared hardness of up to 8.5 on the Mohs scale, meaning significantly better scratch resistance than ordinary glass. The camera module references the matrix headlights of Porsche sports models, and the overall shape feels technical yet elegant.
The body measures 161.2 × 75 × 8.5 mm and weighs 239 g. There’s also certification IP68 / IP69K, so it can handle submersion and high-pressure water jets. The display is protected by tough Giant Rhino Glass, which the manufacturer claims offers up to 10x drop resistance.
6.71″ LTPO OLED with brightness up to 6000 nits
On the front, you get a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1256 × 2808 px and a refresh rate of 1 – 120 Hz. The panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid, reaching an extreme peak brightness of up to 6000 nits, while the minimum brightness can drop to 1 nit. High-frequency 4320 Hz PWM dimming is also included.
In terms of display quality, this is one of the best panels on the market. Colors are vivid, black is deep, and adaptive LTPO technology helps optimize power consumption based on the current content.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and up to 24 GB RAM
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip built on a 3 nm process. The eight-core processor reaches up to 4.6 GHz, paired with Adreno 840 graphics. Performance is at absolute top level and handles demanding games, 4K video, and advanced AI features in the system without any issues.

200 MPx telephoto lens and a flagship triple camera

However, the highlight is the 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.4″ sensor, f/2.6 brightness, OIS, and 3.7× optical zoom. Honor claims the first-ever CIPA 6.5 rating for stabilization. There’s no shortage of an AiMAGE color engine and support for 4K video up to 120 fps. The selfie camera has 50 MP, complemented by a 3D ToF sensor for secure face unlocking.
7200 mAh battery and ultra-fast charging
The Si/C Li-Po battery offers up to 7200 mAh, which is above average even among large flagship models. Supported is 120 W wired charging, 100 W PPS, 40 W UFCS, and 80 W wireless charging. Reverse charging is also included.
Such a combination means not only long battery life, but also very fast recharging. Compared with the competition, this is of one of the best capacity and charging speed combinations on the market.
Connectivity, satellite communication, and audio
In the setup you’ll find Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an infrared port, and dual 5G. The Chinese version also supports satellite communication for emergency messages. Stereo speakers with Honor Sound technology handle the audio.
