Nubia Red Magic 5G is already a well-known smartphone worldwide, thanks to its great specs and price, but also to a special feature: an active cooling fan. Now, a lighter version is coming to Europe under the name Nubia Red Magic 5G Lite.

It offers a Snapdragon 765G processor, 120 Hz OLED display, the most powerful 8 GB + 256 GB variant, a large 5100 mAh battery, and the same look as Nubia Play 5G, which is basically a rebranded model.
Nubia Red Magic 5G Lite as a mid-range gaming phone
The specs of this new model, which was launched in Spain, place it in the mid-range to slightly higher category. It will impress with a beautiful 120 Hz OLED display, which also includes a 240 Hz sampling rate.
This model kept the look of its Chinese twin. It has a 6.65″ diagonal, a 2340 x 1080 px resolution, and, for some people’s delight, it lacks a notch or punch-hole.
A solid Snapdragon 765G
Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 765G, which natively supports 5G connectivity, but here it’s still just music of the future. Liquid cooling is also included, which is a must for a model like this. It comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Camera setup
On the back, you’ll find four cameras, led by a main 48 MPx sensor. It’s joined by an 8 MPx wide-angle sensor, followed by a 2 MPx depth sensor, as well as a 2 MPx macro sensor.
The front selfie camera has 8 MPx. Video recording supports 4K at 60 frames per second.
A decent battery and NFC
The battery capacity is 5100 mAh, which is already standard for a 5G smartphone. You also get fast 18 W charging, though it’s not fully top-tier.
There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC for contactless payments, and Bluetooth 5.0 support. However, it lacks a 3.5 mm audio jack, so you’ll need an adapter to USB-C or wireless headphones.
Start of sales in Spain
As we mentioned, sales began in Spain, more specifically through the operator Vodafone. Its price there was set at an incredibly high 612 € / 684 USD. The current price of the more powerful Nubia Red Magic 5G model is 540 € / 603 USD.
However, this is an offer from a carrier, which are always the least favorable. Still, there’s a good chance this smartphone will appear with a global retailer, where the price tag will be more reasonable. So follow us on social media, where we’ll keep you updated with everything.
